Valentine's Day Weekend

It is a beautiful Valentine's Weekend here in Las Vegas.  The sun is supposed to shine all weekend long and Mom and Dad have 4 days off from work to spend with us.  WooHoo!!!  I get to play Wii.
Mom and Dad bought a Wii Fit Plus a couple of weekends ago and they bought an exta sports package to go with it along with the Sports that came with the Wii.  Well, Dad was playing golf the other night and I decided to help him.  You see I love sports!!!  I jump up on the TV stand and watch hockey, baseball and football.  While Dad was playing golf I jumped up on the TV stand and batted the ball to help it go further and I also chased after that red dot that was supposed to be keeping Dad balanced so he could increase the distance of his shot.  I think I did a pretty good job and Mom said that I was exercising with Dad.  I don't know what exercising is but I sure had fun playing Wii.  Can't wait to do it again.

My family and I want to wish all of our furiends a very Happy Valentine's Day!!!  We Love You All!!!

Rainy Days.....

Hello Furiends ~ We are purring for all of our furiends that got feetsies of snow these past few days, may you all stay warm. We are also purring for all the little outside kitties that they were able to find warm places to safely weather out the storms.

Las Vegas has been wet again this weekend. Since we are in a drought, it doesn't happen often here but it is cold and damp today so Mom has turned on the fireplace to take out the chill.  We are all just chillaxing and staying warm by the fire. Mom calls this "book weather" the kind of weather where she likes to curl up on the sofa with a cup of coffee; all of us cats surrounding her; the fireplace going; and spend the day reading a good book.

Dad is doing a photo shoot so there are strangers in our house today. It will only last for a couple of hours but it always makes us act a little strange. Mom says we are getting better about it as it happens often enough for us to almost think of it as normal. Miko has even started to come out from behind the sofa while people are in the house. That is a very big step for him.

Well my furiend, we are purring for everyone to stay dry, stay warm, stay safe, and enjoy the day.

Mimu and Family

Meet Mea

It has been one year today, since I made my journey to the Rainbow Bridge. I know my Mom and Dad miss me very much and I really miss them, but it is so nice here at the Bridge. Mom and Dad understand that I am no longer in pain and that makes them happy. Every once in a while I see them looking at one of my pictures and it will bring a smile to their face and a tear to their eye all at the same time.

I have met so many angel furiends like SooLing, Scooter, and Lola; Calvin; Buddy, McKenna, Angel, Mookie, and Ricki; Zack and Riley; Ava; Sally; Biscuit; Micah and Jake; Sir Sonny Bono; Marley the Paw; Minxy; Patrick; Wyatt James, Aragorn, Toby Aragorn, and Sam I Am; Pickles; Ashley Grimalkins; Willow; Peaches; Baby Cat, Little Cat, Mittens, Friskie, and Morris; and so many others. I feel like a kitten again and every day I run in the fields chasing butterflies and playing with all my angel pals.

There is so much for us to do here: shopping at the Heavenly Mall, going with furiends for Ice Cream Sundaes in the Town Square, meeting new angels at the gate and helping them learn to fly, showing them how to sneak down and sprinkle angel dust on their families, sprinkling angel dust sprinkling on our families and our sick furiends, purring for all of our sick furiends, Cloud 9 Day, and so much more. We are all like happy, healthy, playful kittens again so we have the energy to do so many things.

I want Mom and Dad to know that I miss them and my fursiblings very much. I do sneak down to watch over them and my fursiblings as often as I can. Mimu and Maui are so cute. Each of them reminds me of me in different ways. Mimu loves to talk like me and Maui loves to play fetch with little paper balls like I used to.

Mom and Dad - I love you very much! I just want you to know that I am happy here at the Bridge and I will be watching over you and our family until the day you are able to join me here. Until then, remember all the happy times we had together and smile when you think of me.

Loving Purrs,
Mea

Rainy Days

It has been raining here in Las Vegas for the past 4 days. The clouds engulfed the mountains all around the valley and we even had fog. Finally the sun is shining again. We are just not used to all that rain.

We are now hanging around the house just enjoying the little spots of sun shining though the windows and helping mom clean house. We all helped out with the bed making after mom washed the bedding. That is always fun! **hehe**

It was a sad and then happy week here. We were trying to adopt another Siamese named Frankie. He was an abandoned kitty living behind a hotel that has been shut down about 50 miles from here. His Mommy and caregiver captured him and took him to the vets on Monday for a Feline Leukemia test and his shots. On Tuesday we received the sad news that Frankie tested positive for Feline Leukemia. That meant that we were not going to be able to adopt him.

His Mommy said that she was going to keep him inside until she could find him a forever home. On Thursday he wrote in his diary on Catster that his Mommy had found him a temporary home for the next 4 months. That was really good news as we felt so bad for not being able to give Frankie the forever home that he deserves.

We are still helping his Mommy to try and find him a forever home that is right for him. We are purring very hard that he will find his special home soon. His Mommy says that he has had a rough life being abandoned and now having feline leukemia. He really deserves a home where he can receive lots and lots of lovings.

Please pray for Frankie to find his forever home.

Meet Mikki

I was an abandoned kitty. I was living outside in a vacant lot in Las Vegas. Let me tell you the desert is a hard place to live in. I was not doing so well when I noticed that my Mom to be had just moved in across the street from my lot. I went over to her patio door and started crying until she noticed me. She came out and brought me food and water. That was really nice since I was starving (like I said the desert is a hard place). She took me to the vet to have me all checked out and get my shots. The vet told Mom that I was about three years old at the time. After the vet gave me a clean bill of health Mom brought me home to meet my sister, Mea. I have been an indoor kitty ever since and I have to say it is much nicer in here. I don't care if I ever go outside again.

I am now 17 years old, soon to be 18 and I have adjusted well to my furever home. I will now let Dad pet me. I sleep above Mom's head at night on my own pillow. Every once in a while I sleep on Mom's head **hehe**.

I am definitely Head of Household at my place and no matter what my little sisters think, I have no intention of giving up that title. I can still tussle with the best of them and I have one mean growl. Mean enough to make them back away from me when I don't want them too close. Don't get me wrong, I really do love my brothers and sisters. I just don't like them to get too close. They are just a little to active for my taste.

I am going to go and hang out at the top of my scratching post now. Maybe I will even take a nap. Stay tuned for more about Meezer Madness.

Love and Purrs,
Mikki

Meet Maui

Mom and Dad went to PetsMart to get litter, treats, etc. for my brothers and sisters. While standing in line to checkout Mom and Dad glanced over and saw me in a cage. The rest is history (adoption). Dad said Mom is banned from going to PetsMart. **hehe**

The rescue that had me said I came from an apartment that had 28 cats. I am very afraid of people. Mom and Dad are patiently working at gaining my trust. I am to the point where Mom and Dad can pet me while I am on the floor (sometimes) and every once in a while Mom can pick me up and hold me for a short time. I even purr for them when they pet me.

Must go so my typist can work on my sisters entries. Meow at ya soon.

Love and Purrs,
Maui
